Welcome to the Center for Hip & Knee Replacement (CHKR) at NewYork -Presbyterian Hospital at Columbia. At the CHKR, a comprehensive multidisciplinary approach to medical care for the hip and knee is sought. When appropriate, a conservative approach is recommended and we formulate an individualized non-operative treatment plan. Should this conservative approach fail to restore an acceptable level of function, CHKR surgeons are experts and innovators in the most advanced techniques for arthritis treatment. Outcomes data collection is the cornerstone of our evidence-based approach and a testament to our commitment to the advancement of the field of hip and knee reconstruction surgery.
